  • 1.  How to center-justify__text

    Hi.

This is probably a stupid question, but I can't figure this out. How do I center text? I'm trying to type a simple one page text and can't figure out how to make it justify to the center. I checked the tabs and options page. Isn't there a way similar to creating text in Photoshop. Why is this so hard? Please help me out.

    Hi Carlos,

To center justify text you need to be writing the text to the center tab of the text object.

Create a text object and hit the TAB key on your keyboard twice. This will take you to the center tab of the text object and text inserted on this tab will be of center alignment.

You can change the position and alignments of tabs in text objects on the 'Tabs & Options' tab of the Object Inspector.

Let us know if that works!

It's better to just change the Alignment of the 1st tab, using the "Tabs & Options" in the Object inspector. by default the 1st tab is Left Aligned

The guys are right about the tab fields. You can either tab over to the 3rd tab, which is center justified, or you can simply go to the tab in the object inspector and set any tab you wish to center.

Take note that while this centers the text on the tab field, the positioning and animation of the text object is directly related to the pivot point of the object in question. This is absolute, so if you want to center the object, center the pivot point to the object and then set it's values based upon the resolution of the project.
