Hi Everyone,

So we're using the Xpression ActiveX MOS plugin v4.1 build 2134 with ENPS. When I click on a scene/template in the ENPS Plugin you can see the preview window update text changes just fine. But with templates that include images or video that are editable "materials", the preview window will not reflect the image/material changes in the preview window. Any idea what I can do to make this work?

I figure it has something to do with the Xpression local preview engine option or the desktop preview option but even with those enabled the preview window still does not seem to work with images or video materials. It will show built-in materials, but not "published" materials once they are changed. Images won't change at all in the preview window and videos will actually place a black frame right where the video should be. Any suggestions?

Did it used to work correctly? Sounds like the mapped network drive is no longer connected on your preview engine. You should contact Ross Video tech support or get your IT guy to check the network drive settings to make sure they match the render engines and enps client machines.

It is not related to the "local preview engine option" or the "desktop preview option".

Previewing images or video never worked. I don't think it was ever set-up. Like I said though, text can be previewed just fine and you can see the animation in my lower thirds with the play button in the ENPS plug-in. So everything seems like it's connected correctly, it's just that one feature that hasn't worked.

Is there a how to guide for setting this up correctly?

The images/videos need to be on a mapped network drive. If for example you add them to the ENPS plugin from the client computer using something like the X: drive, then the preview engine just needs the same X: drive to be mapped so it can access the image at the same path name to render it in the preview.

If they play correctly when you put them to air; then the mapped drive must already exist on the playout Studio engines; so just add the same mapped drive to the preview engine.
