  • 1.  Export Take Item to Images

    Posted 12-03-2013 18:56
    Hello,

I have been asked to deliver a credit sequence as a series of stills out of our Xpression Prime running 5.1. I right click the item from the sequence list, select "Export Take Item To-- Images" and click Export and nothing happens. No crash, but no progress is made and nothing hits my target folder. I've tried different formats, sizes, frame and fill modes but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

Please contact Technical Support (techsupport@rossvideo.com) and they can help you solve technical issues with XPression software.

Hey Garner, I had a separate question but also about exporting credits... Is there a way, once in the EXPORT TO IMAGES dialog to select "Single Frame" for all the images listed? So, I have 74 credit pages to export to stills; is there a way to not have to click "Single Frame" 74 times? Thanks.

I want to follow up on this?  Is there a way, once in the EXPORT TO IMAGES dialog to select "Single Frame" for all the images listed without having to individually click single frame.

Oh also forgot, not sure what XPression version you are using...  So this may not work.

HI Chad, I run into this often; I don't know if there is a way in the Export To Image menu to select all to be "Single Frame"; but this is what I do.

I highlight all the credit pages in the sequencer.  Then in the Scene Control tab I set the "Play Range" to 0 to 0. Then in the Export To Image menu,  "Single Frame" should all be checked.

WARNING: If you are already using play range for your credit timings I would save the project as something else and then do the above so you don't lose your credit timings.

    Cheers

    Steve,

Great tip with setting the "Play Range to 0 to 0/"  Thanks!

Do you (or anyone else) know a way to auto-increment the "Name" field with Graphics that are sent to XPression from Ross Inception.  Inception doesn't create a unique Name for graphics using the same template in the same story, so before exporting the graphic as a still image from XPression, we have to manually change the Name in XPression (i.e. adding "1, 2, 3, etc to the Name) in order for each graphic to be exported.

Sorry David, I don't know about that.  I always name items (in the "Name" field") in my sequence as I build them.  Credit_1, Credit_2, etc...  I'm not familiar with Ross Inception at all.

Another note though...  The "Play Range" works with animated graphics too.  It also works in reverse; 100 to 0.  Very cool feature I use often...

    Cheers.
