I've got a scene that has our logo bug on it and I'm needing to change it to rotate between the station logo bug and another graphic. What I'd like to see is station logo up for 8 seconds, then animate to alt logo for 4 seconds, then back to station logo, rinse and repeat. To complicate things a bit more, "logo #2" could be one of 4 things, which might change during the show. My plan is to have a text file open that the producer can change, where if the text in that file is "1", then show logo 1 as the alt logo in the sequence. If it is "2", show logo 2, etc. Can anyone help me with that? All versions of the alt logo can be layers in the same scene. Thanks a ton!!

If you have the "Automation"-version of XPression it's quite easy to build something like that.

If you can't build an external application for this job, I think you could also build this using the Scene Director and an Event in it.

So you have the Station Bug on one layer and the four other bugs on other layers. Then using the visibility you could choose which of the four alternating bugs you would like to see. Maybe you could use some scripting like you said with the textfile to choose which logo to show but I'm afraid I don't know by heart how you can read the contents of a file as I do everything with the API.
