Can changes be saved to an existing docking layout or does a new docking layout need to be created in order for changes to be saved? Also, which changes are specifically saved as part of the docking layout? For example, if I resize columns in the Take Inspector window will that be saved as part of the docking layout?

I am constantly tweaking the docking layouts so yes you can save over existing layouts. I use the default layout in sequencer so the second part will need to be answered by someone else.

The size and location of every module will be saved in the docking layout, in both Layout and Sequencer.
