  • 1.  How to create a perspective roll

I want to let text running from bottom to top, but in a perspective view. The text appears at the bottom in in full width and dissapears at the top in small size, so if it runs in the distance. I created a scene with a text object rotated by 45 degrees and added this to a scene group with roll effect. I started the roll but the result was not what I wanted. The text doesn't run in the distance, it runs only vertically.

Is there a trick to solve my problem.

    Hi Gerd,

I assume that you're trying to do a "Star Wars" roll.

I haven't tried it out myself but I think it's perfectly possible using a Renderview.

Basically, you create a new material and you select Renderview as your shader.

In the properties of the Renderview you select the scenegroup that you have made for your roll.

Now you create a new scene and you add a new quad. As material for the new quad, you select the Renderview-material. Then you can use the Y-rotation to create the perspective. You can also use play around with the position to get the text really close to the edge of the screen.

Let us know if that was the effect that you were looking for.

    Best regards,

    Kenneth
