Hello. I work for CCX Media in Minnesota and we have been working on new and adjusting current graphics for the upcoming Fall high school sports season. We have run into an issue where if we "Save" a current file it works fine until we try to "Save As" a different file name or a different location. We receive multiple material errors saying that a file is not found. Also, we tried importing scenes from a project on one computer's project to another computer's project and when we did that it caused all the errors. Not all elements are missing, but a lot are.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible our Ross Xpression's have not been updated properly and that is causing it? Thanks for any help or directing to a thread that may already exist about this.

I tried posting a photo but it was not working.

Well, at least as far as transferring to another computer, exporting the file as a package (.xpp) will insure that all needed textures and fonts are bundled in with the XPression scene. This can be done via File->Export package. Of course if the 2 machines are on the same network and are pulling all assets from a network drive you shouldn't necessarily need to do that, but it'd be worth trying to see if it makes a difference.

As for why saving to another directory would cause these errors, that is a bit puzzling, and I don't have enough information to make an educated guess.

The only way I could think that changing the name or directory of the project file would cause those errors is if there are scripts in the project that change the content of the material based on the project path or name.

I would recommend reaching out to Ross Video Tech Support to get help with this:
