  • 1.  Pauses for Rolls

Hey All... Hoping someone can help me here.

I'm trying to do a scores roll/crawl ESPN-style where the scores sit at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds, then roll up to reveal the next score.

I've got a scene group with 2 scenes in it. The group has the background and a mask that covers most of the screen, except the bottom part where the background sits.

The first scene in the group has the first game (Away team and score on one text layer, a quad that has a spinning football, and another text layer that has the Home team and score).

I've put an even marker on the scene and set it to Pause, then resume after 240 frames.

The next scene is an exact copy.

What I get is the first score pausing, but not at the correct part of the screen, and then the next scene just rolls on up the screen. It doesn't even loop back to the first scene even though the roll/crawl settings have it set to loop.

    I'm on a Designer running XPression 5.11

So, I just took the mask layer off to see what was actually happening, and if the second scene has an event marker that's above the top of the screen, or none at all, the roll gets stuck at the top of the screen in an endless loop that doesn't pause, but brings itself in near the top of the screen and moves up and then reveals itself near the top again.

Maybe I don't quite understand the even markers.
