  • 1.  DVE Clock in XPression

I know how to create quad using a live video source as the material. If I wanted to "DVE" a scoreboard clock into my scene, though, I need to crop and resize the video. What is the best way, if any, to do the cropping and various image manipulation so that the quad is only showing the ticking clock region of interest of the video feed? Any thoughts?

    Jarrod,

You can use the Texture Coordinates on the Quad to scale and crop the live video.

    Hi Jarrod,

The easiest way would probably be to use masks to cover all of the content that you don't need.

I guess you could also use the Texture-options to adjust the video to the size of the quad. So that way you would resize the quad to the size that you would need, but then using the texture-scale and position you could position the clock inside the designated space of the Quad. However, it's not so easy to keep the dimensions straight.

So I would probably go for the lazy solution and mask everything off except the clock :-)

    Best regards,
