    Hi,

I'm getting better at this but still have a lot to learn! I need to know how to pause a video, then play from that point on. I have an animation created in AE that I imported and would like to pause it because it's a bit too fast. Then, I need to continue playing when triggered.

I tried adding an event and played around with the settings, but nothing pauses the video. Is this even possible? I tried both applying the video to a background and a quad with no effect. Thanks for all the other help!

Drag your video material to the timeline (Ctrl+D)...

The video will follow your scenedirector.

    Hey Vincent, thanks for reply.

I tried that already and it doesnt work for me. Maybe give me a stepbystep on the settings in the event properties. here's what I'm doing:

I add the video to a background in the scene.

I then drag the same video to the timeline.

    I add an event

I right click on that event and select properties

    Actions - Relative

    Play Options - Pause

    Execute - Left and Right

I've tried other settings and still cant get video to pause. FYI the video settings are "Play Once and Auto Start"

    Please help, thanks

try setting the video to "Stopped" and take off auto start.

I put them in "Free Running" each time I have to send them to Scene Director.
