  • 1.  Audio Output on an NDI stream

    Hi
Should the audio from a project appear in an NDI stream? I have a project that plays back VT clips with audio, and the audio works on all framebuffers apart from the NDI one. I am using Newtek's NDI monitor to test, and if I setup a stream with NDI Test Patterns audio appears then, so I know the NDI Monitor is working.
I've tried it on both Studio 7.2 and SCE V8.0.

There also seems to be an issue with SCE if you try and add an NDI framebuffer and it's not the first buffer you've added, it doesn't allow it. This includes having a virtual output set up first, which should be a valid configuration on SCE. In order to use NDI as a preview buffer, you have to add it in first, and then add your second frame buffer move that to the top of the list then restart SCE.

    Thanks
    Simon

NDI is considered a real output, so SCE will only let you have either 1 SDI output, or 1 NDI output (whichever is higher in the hardware setup menu).

We only support Audio In from NDI, not audio Out. It is planned to be added to a future release.

    Hi Simon,

Audio will be supported by NDI outputs in version 8.5 of XPression.
