  • 1.  Can XPression CLIP Server Recording Channel be controlled by VDCP protocol?

We are working a demo in customer site, the customer is using Ross Vision Switcher. We control the XPression CLIP server play out channels successfully by VDCP over TCP/IP.

The customer also wants to trigger the recording channel by VDCP on Vision Custom Control. however, we failed. In Vision, we should tell it which channel is the triggering target. But what is the channel # of the recording channels of XPression CLIP?

Do you have the experiences on similar configuration?

    Hello,

I am trying to do the same with a carbonite black and Xpression Clips. I would love to know if this is possible.

For Carbonite to trigger the Record on XPression Clips or XPression with Clips Option you need to enable a setting in the XPression Media Control Gateway, See the attached picture.

Tony, I'll test the Vision VDCP Record trigger today. I believe you need to send a CUE command before the RECORD command to tell XPression what to name the Clip you are recording.
