    Hi All,

How can I Update TextObject text in a scence, linked to DataLinq without SceneGroupObject

Also When we create crawl, I want to place a text on SceneGroupObject which is linked to Datalinq, and it is updated using increments.

You can connect any text object to Datalinq, it does not need to be an object in a scenegroup.

Select Text Object > Object Inspector > Data Source > Datalinq

You can download a rough document that covers how to set up an RSS data source and step through the fields in an XPression crawl.

Yeah, Linking and stepping through datalinq data in a SceneGroup is fine, but I want to achieve same thing without using a SceneGroup or without Crawl/Roll effect.

For Example, I have a animation with a textObject linked to a text file with few lines through datalinq. The text file may contain any number of lines, we don't know in advance how many lines will this text file contains. I want to step through those lines without using Crawl/Roll effect [SceneGroupObject].

I would take a look at these videos about XPression Datalinq:

I believe that 'Data Pages' will be the one you want.
