    Hey Xpression users!

Looking for some creative tips on creating scenes that have an 'animate on', a pause/hold (whilst maintaining continuous animations) and then triggering an "animate off" from sequencer.

Any tips/tricks would be much appreciated!!

    Thanks,

    Ryan

If you're trying to figure out how to accomplish it; here are the instructions:

Put an event on the scene director by rightclicking on a track and choosing Add Event.

Edit the event and change it to "Pause" and make sure you click the "Relative" checkbox beside the "jump to frame" option otherwise it will jump back to the beginning of the scene director.

When you play this back from the sequencer it will pause at the event and when you press Enter or double click the item again it will resume.

The scene director event can be used for many other things as well, such as loops, reversals, etc. A common thing is to put it at then end of an animation track with pause and reverse direction set, then when you resume it the animation will play backwards.
