  • 1.  AVI playing back fast in xpression

    video with alpha scrubbed through the ross converter with alpha. playback is double or triple speed in xpression. I can not seem to figure out why xpression is playing it so fast. anyone else run into this issue?

    We had the issue as well. It's a framerate issue. You're files need to be rendered at the framerate in which the XPression is set to output. In our case, we were outputting 720p 59.94, and some of our students were bringing in files at 29.97 frames per second, thus playing back twice as fast because of the lack of frames.

    This is usually because the AVI is encoded at the wrong framerate or the XPression Project is in the wrong framerate.
    Double check the framerate you have selected in the XPression Video Coder. (Video Coder > Output Format > Framerate)
    Double check the framerate you set in your XPression Project (XPression > Project > Convert Project Mode > Editing Mode)
