Ross does not endorse any particular anti-virus software for use on our customers systems. My recommendation would be to contact your IT department (if applicable) and have them install whatever piece of anti-virus software your organization uses.
However make sure the following practices are kept for anti-virus software used for on-air machines.
- Never use two anti-virus programs at the same time
- On access file scanning should be disabled to avoid slowing down the system
- Disable automatic scanning and schedule system scans during periods of non-use. Ideally a 1-2 hour window where you know the system won't be used
I stress the importance of disabling 'on-access file scanning' as this feature is a part of many anti-virus softwares nowadays and can potentially have very negative impacts on system performance.
