  • 1.  Output to different resolutions

A question was just posed to me, and while I can (and did) make an educated guess, I'f like to know for sure.

We are making an XPression project for a venue, and the screens within it vary in resolution. The aspect ratio across all the screens which will display XPression content is a constant 16x9, but the actual pixel resolution varies between 1492 x 840 and 846 x 476. My belief is that whatever is actually taking the XPression output and feeding those screens likely handles the scaling, but my bosses want to make sure we don't need to deliver separate copies of the project, pre-scaled. If for some reason it is the latter, is there a clean way to handle it, as my preliminary tests show that some stuff goes a but pear shaped when I convert the resolution in Convert Project Mode.

It depends completely on what type of display processor is feeding the display (or lack of display processor).
You're right, a good display processor will take care of all of this. And you just need to output a full frame 16x9 image from XPression.
