    How do I make an inverted mask that shows objects only when the mask is sitting over the object?

    So, this one popped up from 6 YEARS ago when I searched for this today...
    Someone please tell me this has been addressed and hopefully fixed over 6 years?

    I would very much like to be able to be able to do this.
    I've been testing the different blending settings in the material based on the normal mask. But if this is the sollution, I have yet to discover the correct combination.
