  • 1.  NDI support to Tricaster

Has anybody successfully used NDI to plug XPression Prime GO into a Tricaster? Looks like the protocol is supported and has been added to the list of available outputs, but the Channel tab is greyed out and the internal XP connection to the Framebuffers is not there. Can anyone shed some light?

Which edition of XPression are you on? Studio, Single Channel, Prime, Designer, etc..?
NDI counts as a hardware framebuffer output, so if you are on a single channel XPression and you already have an SDI board added; you won't be able to also use NDI.

As bford said if it's a Prime Go you'll need to make sure you don't have another SDI Frame Buffer already added. Also bford might be able to confirm if we're even allowing NDI on Go because traditionally only tunderbolt framebuffers have been allowed on the Go systems.

We are using XP Prime Go with software V7.0
We deleted all the existing outputs. Then added the NDI output. In that dialog box there is another tab called Channels. That is greyed out.
We were able to add the NDI output, but the Sequencer showed the Framebuffer column in red.

Version 7.2 of XPression to be released this Spring will allow NDI on Prime Go.
