I am working on a project where I will need to show scoring data from a Daktronics UDP feed. I can't seem to figure out where to put the ITF to get the Datalinq server to understand the data. In V7000 you just put the ITF file in the V7000 folder but that isn't working.

The daktronics datalinq in XPression does not use the ITF files. It requires daktronics to output what they call a "TV Feed" which is a different protocol than what the ITF is used for. This TV Feed protocol needs to be configured on the Dak DSTI server; or if you are using a system without the DSTI then it will come from the Daktronics Allsport CG device.

That is unfortunate. For this show we wont have access to a DSTI and the scoring system that we are using is either serial or UDP (we don't use an Allsport). I did figure out a way to make it work with an ASCI interface. I had to switch the scoring software into a mode where it will always send the entire buffer but after doing that it was just a matter of enter the offset for all of the fields that I needed.

    Excellent.

The next major release of XPression will have support for Daktronics RTD feeds (which use the ITF files).
