  • 1.  Update text only for supers?

I have a super that just slides on from left to right and text dissolves in over it. When putting multiple instances of this scene in the sequencer, I only want the text to change while the super stays at the end of it's animation instead of reanimating every time I take the next scene in sequence. I'm coming from a Chyron background and have NO idea how to do this on Expression.

    Thanks

-Put your scene in the sequencer like you always do (ie 5 take item, 1 animated and 4 non-animated).

-Create a new group and drag'n'drop all your scene in it except the animated one). At this step, you have the animated scene in a group and 4 in another group.

-Click on the second group header (of the non-animated scene)

-In parameters > Playout Mode, change to Data Pages.

After this, only data of your text object will be updated...

You could also adjust the Play Range control in the Scene Control tab of the sequencer. You can set the subsequent instances of the scene to only play the last frame rather than the whole animation.
