We've been seeing some repeated crashing of our BlueBox software. I've worked with Ross Tech Support on this for a bit; we have re-installed the software and checked our hardware settings to make sure everything was as it should (which it is), but the issues still persist.
Specifically, during newscasts (so the software is being utilized, with control coming from Remote Sequencer), the software will:
a) hang/freeze - this won't let us load or play either channel on BlueBox via Remote Sequencer or CII
b) drop - the application/service just stops, no warning, no error message, just suddenly offline
c) error out - the application/service will throw an error (usually a pointer exception), and upon clicking "OK" on the error message, BlueBox drops.
Has anyone else had any problems with BlueBox similar to this? The conditions around the crash vary from loading multiple scenes on both channels, playing/resuming scenes, to just sitting stagnant while no graphics are needed. They are, however, always in a newscast, with MOS objects and rundowns in the sequence.
What sort of fixes has anyone else tried? We have changed packages, re-installed the software, and tried running it as a service and as an application.
