    Hello

Am wanting to have a go (play!) with CII automation control of XPression but am a bit stuck. It's just a little app I've written & I want to use sockets to get XPression to play a few pages for me.

I found a copy of the old Infinit Interface protocol document but can't really work out how I would format a command to simply recall a page. The document is also incredibly old so maybe there is a newer guide/document?

Anyway, does someone have some idea what sequence of bytes I need to send to Xpression to get it to call up a page, and perhaps clear its output? Documentation seems extremely thin on the ground on this subject.

    Cheers,

    Stuart Brightwell.

I should add I don't have the SmartGPI option available. :(

Stuart first you need to be running the XPression CII gateway to receive the commands. Your post didn't indicate if you were or not so I thought I would start there.

Also here is a link to our CII documentation which will tell you how to format the commands.

Stuart, what edition of XPression are you using? Almost all of them should have SmartGPI available.

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the reply. It was XPression Designer (using it to shuffle some stills over to a Carbonite media storage) via Rosslinq.

Anyway we've rented an Xpression Prime now for the rest of the week so should be all good!

    Cheers,

    Stuart.

    Stuart,

XPression Designer versions newer than 5.1-2528 support RossTalk / SmartGPI.
