I want cycle effect on a template contain city names and result .Data will connect to datalinq sources.
I hope I can make with roll.Bottom to top.But with this way all layers will be seen.I want cover bottom and upper side with mask.

Is there any way to invert mask in xpression like after effects. We learnt to quad with alpha belended material and put into layer object with main object together.
But how to hide my object from other object not from my mask.

you can make a texture in after effects, or photoshop, or wherever you prefer, that has a hole cut in the area you want to not be masked, and use that as a mask texture... or you can use a regular full mask texture and make the shape with multiple quads to frame your area. The benefit to the latter approach is you have more ability to animate or alter the shape with much less hassle.

I use a soft edge mask I built in Photoshop. To reverse the mask, edit the material, select the texture layer, then color blending, change Multiply to Subtract and raise the mix value to 99. This seems to do what I want with a very soft edge. With a hard edge, you may have to judge whether it does what you want.

Usually when I make a mask in Photoshop I usually just make two. One inverted, so I can use either one.
