    Hello,

I finally got the 6.1 update a few days ago and I think I got a good grasp of how to set them up by watching the videos on Xpression U.
I am having an issue right now with making it work in iNews. I made a couple of different .txt files that have been assigned to global lists for different templates.
Everything seems to work perfectly fine when I test the templates in Xpression. Once I published and tested those templates in iNews, the combo boxes are showing up but they aren't doing anything. I tried picking one and dropped it in the rundown but still nothing. Not sure what could be wrong... I thought it could be the path but if it was that, then it shouldn't be working in Xpression in the first place, right?

    The file contains 2 columns:

    Box Logo Box Logo Image
    NBA S:\iNews Templates\Box Logos\NBA-BoxLogo.png
    MLB S:\iNews Templates\Box Logos\MLB-BoxLogo.png
    NFL S:\iNews Templates\Box Logos\NFLBoxLogo.png
    etc.

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

I did make other 2 templates with global lists via .txt files that do not have images. Both of the templates are working perfectly fine in Xpression but once I go to iNews only one of them works.

I would really appreciate the help. I think this feature would really help us out.

    Thank you in advance.

I have to ask 2 questions:
    1. what version of XPression software is on your engines, XPression Gateway and MOS plugin?
    2. are you sure that the MOS gateway has the exact same location mapped out as the S drive?
If the XPression Gateway does not have access to the same location as the S drive, the path will be different and the content will not appear. There might be an issue in the software version, so I wanted to confirm that before moving too far forward. However, usually this is an issue with drive mapping not being consistent.Get back to us with the version number of the XPression software so we can rule that out.

    Best,
    Patrick

    Thanks for your response Patrick.

We just had 6.1 installed in everything - MOS Plugin, Gateway, Xpression, etc.
The MOS Gateway has the same location mapped out according to the engineers.
The S drive is where we save all pictures that we use inside the templates and all those still show up correctly everywhere.
Is there anything else I should be looking at?

    Really appreciate the help.

    Mildred,

This is a issue in the 6.1 software, which had been addressed in the next release. Quality Assurance testing is underway and version 6.2 should provide resolution to the issue with using User Input Controls for materials in the MOS workflow. I would project that release in the next 30 days or so. Sorry for any problems this may cause.

    best,
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
Any news when 6.2 is coming out? We are looking forward to being able to use the user input controls.

    Thank you.

The testing for XPression 6.2 is just about done! We found a couple of bugs we wanted to properly resolve before we released the software. I hope within about 10 days or so. I will try to remember to post something here, when it is officially released.
