I recently downgraded from Windows 10, under which I was running XPression Designer 7, to Window 7 (after experiencing too many headaches with Win10). I noticed as soon as I opened Designer, after my fresh install of Win 7, that I was presented with 2 error windows during the Designer splash screen. The first error message reads "Error initializing 3D subsystem (Failure: D3DERR_NOTAVAILABILE), and the second error message reads "Warning, shader model 0 detected, XPression will try to run in a scaled down render mode." The program loads, but does appear to not display materials properly.
I did search the forums and found one other message that brought up the D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE error, and pointed to choosing a different hardware renderer in software preferences. I've cycled through each of the options under that menu location, but nothing had changed as a result. My system has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080ti installed in it, the same card I had been using under Win 10. Is there anything else I might have overlooked in my configuration of Designer? Thanks in advance!
