So... I have a pair of full screen graphics, with two separate templates as they contain different types of information.
However, I still want them to have the "same" kind of back-to-back transitions.
The "backplate" of the full screen graphic is the same, so I can simply make an animation that does the same for both of them, that's not the issue.
However, following this tutorial here:
https://www.rossvideo.com/gallery/xpression-u/xpression-transition-logic/
I set it up so I have individual Scene Directors for In and Out (working just fine).
I also have a new rule below that again, with a back-to-back condition checking if the scene ID of the other is online (so scene 1 checks if scene 2 is online, and scene 2 checks if scene 1 is online).
Here's what happens.
- If I take scene 1 online, it animates in as supposed to.
- If I take scene 1 offline, it animtes out as supposed to.
- If I take scene 2 online, it animates in as supposed to.
- If I take scene 2 offline, it animates out as supposed to.
- If I have scene 1 online, and take scene 2 online, the rule kicks in, and I get the back-to-back animation into scene 2, as supposed to.
- If I have scene 2 online, and take scene 1 online, the rule does NOT kick in, and I get the out animation of scene 2 before I get the IN animation of scene 1.
(And yes I have made sure I changed the scene ID to check for scene 1 and not scene 2).
So basically, the rule works one way, but not the other, and I've been staring at this for the last 2 hours now and I just cannot see what I've done wrong. Especially since it works from scene 1 to 2, but not from 2 to 1. The "logic" between them should be the same (except to check for another Scene ID).
Anyone have any experience, ideas, know of any traps/reasons why this shouldt work?
