  • 1.  Scripting alpha value depending upon output on another layer

    I need to script a change in the alpha value of certain objects output on CG1 layer one when similar objects are output to CG1 layer two. Currently, I use a story slug lower third font on layer one and a bite font on layer two---the opacity of the banner on layer two fully covers the banner and text on layer one, but.....I anticipate making the banners much more transparent and need to be sure that the story slug text is not visible through the bite font banner. Also, I don't want to see the apparent opacity of the banners increase as one is inserted over the other.

    Any ideas?

    I need to dissolve the story slug text (layer 1) to zero alpha as the bite text (layer 2) dissolves in to 100%...and then have the story slug text dissolve back to 100% as the bite text dissolves out.
