Incorrect data from OES Scoreboard

  • 1.  Incorrect data from OES Scoreboard

    Hi,

I have XPression studio 6 and I am having trouble pulling correct data from my OES ISC9000 scoreboard. It constantly has incorrect data and doesn't seem to update. In datalinq I have it as OES Baseball7929. Is the problem of the model being different causing the incorrect values? I have it connected by serial. The OES is set to send data to 4 different machines and all the other ones are pulling the data correctly. This is being done by an ES-249 1x8 RS-232 Distribution Amp.
    Thanks

We are checking with the manufacturer (OES) to see if they are able to provide us with the spec's on this protocol. If so, we would need to implement this as a new feature.
It appears the 7929 uses a different protocol than the ISC9000.

We have noticed a problem with our data from OES as well. Our scoring system is a TISSOT system which is fed into a "black box" that converts to OES data. (Im not in that info loop) During time out, or foul shots when the timer is not running it will flash to LA C9 and the period field will go blank. I have attached two samples. Also, our replay bug in the upper right corner uses period data to replace the material. When the QTR field on the scorebar goes blank, the replay bug reverts to the default material. When the data is restored then the proper material is applied in the replay bug scene. These are different scenes, playing on different output channels. This doesn't happen every time the clock is stopped and doesn't happen in every game. We have just begun the trouble shooting process.

TISSOT seems to be causing a lot of headaches around the league I have heard.

    Hi Malcolm,

If you are running a recent version of the datalinq server, it should have an option to log the received data to a file. If you send us that data we could take a look to confirm if Tissot is sending invalid data.

Brian, thank you. We play game 6 with the Clippers tonight so I will have the operator do that.

Brian, data logging is now on. ASCII and Hex. Where does datalinq save the log so I can send it to you in the morning?

Into the program files (x86) folder where the datalinq server executable is. (Probably in the Studio folder).

This is going to generate a huge log file.. If possible I would suggest maybe enabling it and trying to get the problem to reproduce; then turn it off before game time. Is there any way that is possible?

I suppose the operator can watch for the first instance and then turn on logging, catch a few errors and then turn logging off. Thanks for the info.

Brian, we were able to log data while the data was dropping in and out. Where should I send the log. It shouldn't be too large.

Jeff, we received info on the OES Baseball protocol for the ISC9000 and will implement this in the near future. We will let you know when we have something you could try.
