My station is looking at adding additional tickers to our newscast. Our graphic package fits into the HD action safe. The idea would be to shrink our newscast graphics if these tickers are punched up. I'm thinking that we'd need to utilize one Xpression machine for the tickers and the other for the newscast. Using our switcher or master control, the newscast would be squeezed to fit.
I'm wondering if there's a way to achieve this on one machine. Perhaps there's a way to set framebuffer1 as a material on a scene that's in framebuffer2. This would allow me to scale and position the graphics punched up in FB1 to fit the new tickers. Or perhaps there are other features or ideas on how to accomplish this.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
EDIT: Just realized I could use scripting to toggle a camera on/off in the graphic templates based on whether the tickers are punched up. I would still like guidance on the most appropriate way to handle something like this.
