  • 1.  Opening an Xpression project from the D drive

We have found that if we launch Xpression. Then go to File/Open. The process mentioned here.... we have to follow up with adding items back in that were there on close...

    Please read process:

    1. I go into the D Drive and open up TT635_TASTYTRADELIVE---xpf_versions---TTLIVE_16----635_TTLive16.xpf

    2. In the project manager the only project in there is "635_TTLive16"

    3. In the sequence take editor, it only has TTL and BOOTER assets available.

    4. In the project manager, I have to then right click on Project Group and select existing project. It's from there where you go into the 01_Shows folder and individually add in all the other projects. When added, the project will automatically be added to the sequence take editor.

BUT... if we go to File/Open Recent Projects and choose a project in the list, all things are in place just as when the project was last opened.

What is this difference in OPEN (navigate to project) vs. OPEN RECENT PROJECT?

Is this just the way it is?

    A bug?

    or

    OPERATOR ERROR!?

An XPF file is a single project. If you want multiple projects to be loaded, you need to look for the .xpgroup file when you go to File/Open. An XPGROUP file is a collection of multiple .xpf's.

I suspect that the project you are choosing the from Open Recent menu is actually the .xpgroup file, not the xpf.
