I've had a new scene requested from my newsroom. They want a single scene that allows them to put up one to three mugshots at a time. They asked if I could have a text object published (but not visible) where they could enter "1" "2" or "3" and the scene would show the corresponding number.

I've got logic working so if it's left blank, it defaults to a single mugshot:

but if I try to put an "Or" block, with a Text Compare to a String Value of "1," it stops working.

I can't really move onto "2" and "3" without getting blank and "1" working correctly.

    Thoughts?

    EDIT: Corrected 2nd screenshot

Do you want all three up at the same time, or a slideshow of three mugshots? I may have a solution for the former of the two, where depending on how many mugshots are on screen will determine the position and size of the mugshots to all fit on the screen.

We are hoping to be able to display, at once, one, two, OR three.

Cool. Here was my process, but my scene may have a different layout that triggered this. Each of my mugshots had a "Name" text field for the corresponding picture. By default, there was only one mugshot showing up.

I would duplicate that group two other times, so each group had the same elements. Then, if the second name (Name 2) text's length was greater than 0, then it would turn the visibility of that group ON. Same goes for the third group. The positioning and sizing would then add up what was visible and by using an Input Selector, determine the size and PosX of those groups. I will post a pic of my visual logic here in a moment.

Are you able to host the image on another site? I'm not able to see things off tinypic at work.

You could also adjust it to where it's just one text object, and whatever the value of that text object is will be what goes into the Input Selector, and then correspond the values accordingly. It may not be the best way, but it works for me :)

    Phillip:

Thanks for the help! I was able to put it together by using the text itself as the selector input. Made one beautiful mess of things, too:

Looks good! Haha yeah, I have a 5 Mugshot template... imagine that. But they asked for it, and I tried reasoning with them an alternative, but they hardly use 5 anyways. Oh well! Glad it worked for ya! Have fun!
