I have 2 versions of a lower 3rd that I want in the same scene, the visibility of which will be toggled via VL in accordance with what text the operator enters into the published fields. I have both setup in different scenes right now, with logic, and keyframes all dialed in (and I made certain there are no naming redundancies between the 2). Now, all I want to do is copy the group with all my assets from one scene to the another, and setup the final bit of visibility logic. However, as we all know, XPression has the rather vexing setup of not taking keys with a typical copy/paste operation.

Sooooo.. my question, is there a way to effectively merge these 2 scenes that will NOT require me to rework all the animation and logic?

The way I would do it is to copy 2nd L3rd group to the final scene. Then go back to 2nd scene right-click on the animation controller, select copy, then paste into the final scene's scene director; which triggers a pop-up menu where you can designate which object the pasted animation controller will be applied to.

Then I would go to the 2nd scene and I would open the visual logic window. Click on the Visual logic tab that applied to my lower third and under the visual logic menu (upper left) you can save that as a file (I save mine to the Misc folder). Then I would go to my final scene open the visual logic window, click on the visual logic menu (upper left) and select open.

As long as you're naming conventions are unique, this process should work. This is how I would do it anyway.

Yeah, that's more or less what I am prepared to do, I was just hoping there was a more elegant sort of approach.

It seems that - in the absence of one, some sort of scene merge functionality would be welcome...
