    hi guys,
i have about as simple a set up as possible for transition logic. one scene, lower third with an in/out. and another scene with header, with in/out. i connected via transition logic (like the tutorial)

the second header has B2B in it's in/out and checks if the L3D scene is online...

i fire the L3D in the sequencer; it works fine; but then i bring the upper online and it takes out the L3D, why?

i'm losing my mind on this....

it works when i manually change the layer in the sequencer; but i shouldn't have to.

i have included the project file....

please help before i shoot myself.....

You are trying to put 2 scenes on air at the same time on one layer this won't work. If you want them to be on air at the same time they need to be on separate layers. Transition logic for animating between the same scene on the same layer. Please see the attached project, if you go to sequence and play each item you will see the transition logic working.

thanks for your help....i am still confused...this tutorial

    http://www.rossvideo.com/graphics-system/xpression/xpression-u/video-tutorial-109/

used 2 scenes to build a lower third; and he used transition logic...but he never mentioned anything about layers...

In that example he transitions between those 2 scenes, they're not on air at the same time. Can you give me the time on the video the bit you're particularly interested in?

Towards the end of the video, he transitions between a regular L3D and a breaking news where both are online at the same time....at about 16:45....thanks for your help on this redmile...

Hey, please see attached. I have 2 scenes, different layers with logic and scene triggers to control the behavior. Try playing it all in different orders to see how the logic is handling it.
