  • 1.  Export Scene to uncompressed .mov

    I have a question.

    Is it possible to export a scene to a uncompressed .mov?

    The new version of FCP dont allow .avi files anymore and we export lower thirds to it.

    I installed QuicktimePro but Xpression don't recognize the codec

    Hi Mark,

    You can do that using the sequencer.

    Drag the scene into the sequencer and then right-click it and choose Export Take Item.

    You'll be able to export it to a Mov if you have the Quicktime Codec installed.

    Whe try it but the option is not there.

    Only XPression version 5.9 supports export to MOV format. This version is only available for Beta customers right now.

    In your version you could use the Export to Images feature and export it as a TGA Sequence or PNG Sequence. (PNG would be better as those use lossless compression).
