Came across this annoying bug again and wonder of anyone has ever found a solution.

Opened a new virtual set project in Xpression, Imported a .3ds file and added a camera from a "Base setup"i I have for our Virtual Studio.

Using VO output to a HD monitor, I get a bad flickering. Like a jump or loss of sync. But as this is a Virtual Output, there is no sync. Thought it might be the Vertical Sync of the nVidea card settings, but it;s not.

    Sound Familiar to anyone?

    William this isn't a bug,

Video rendered to the virtual output is not buffered like the frames delivered to the Matrox card which are stored in memory before being displayed on an HD SDI output.

As a result you are seeing frames as they are rendered on virtual outputs meaning any process that might affect the performance of the system can cause momentary hitches in the video as the GPU briefly fails to render at the desired frame rate.

We are looking into ways to improve this in the future but currently buffered virtual outputs are not supported.

You won't see issues like that when using an SDI output unless you exceed the performance window of the machine.

But weird. that on some project, NO,, and other.. Yes..

Sometimes seems as if I remake the Cameras from scratch it resolves..

But ok.. Thanks it's really annoying. ;)
