  • 1.  Graphic Doesn't Auto "Take Offline" At End of Animation

    Posted 11-02-2018 18:20
    Hey all,

I received a graphics package from an external vendor and we have run into some issues. Some of the graphics auto take offline once they have completed their animation. Others don't, which is making them extra difficult for us to use as wipe transitions when we trigger them from our Carbonite. I manually placed an event marker and set it to "Take Offline" upon disappearing, however that's not working either. Does anyone have a resource I can look up for this?

    Thanks

We just discovered this too. So far our only fix is to change the "out transition" in the sequencer to a 2 frame dissolve. Even if you right click on the scene in the sequencer on the xpression and "take off line" the scene stays on line. This could be a bug?

I would recommended reaching out to Ross Tech Support if you are having these issues.

@Bonanza. We noticed this after an upgrade to xpression 8. We are not on windows 10 on the machine in question. What is your configuration?

I rebooted and I can't duplicate the problem now.

Any animation that has a pause or other event in the timeline will not automatically take-offline at the end. You need to add a "Take-Offline" Event to the end of the timeline (see screenshot attached) . (Not sure if that's what you meant by "event marker" but that's something quite different. Sometimes, if the animation needs to be paused and reversed, then I add the "Take-Offline" event to the beginning and set it to only activate when it plays from the right. I hope that makes sense.
