    Hi, is there a way to create a mask as just a new material (Material/New/Material not Material/New/Mask) and adjust that material without importing any Mask Image or Video?

    Yes, it's quite simple. Just create a new material, edit it, then change the Alpha Blending to "Alpha Mask" or similar (can't remember the exact name as I don't have XPression in front of me).
