  • 1.  Keying issues at 3G frame rates using a Blackmagic UltraStudio HD Mini

    Hi
    Has anyone tried getting at external key out of a Blackmagic UltraStudio HD Mini in XPression? I find it works fine until the 1080p50 - > 1080p60 rates, where I just get black and white vertical lines. Don't think this is an XPression issue, but if anyone else has the ability to confirm that would help.
    I have the latest Blackmagic driver, 10.9.7, and am using the latest beta version of XPression Studio. It is running on an HP Omen laptop under Thunderbolt 3.

    This is a bug on the BlackMagic UltraSudio. If you have the front plate with the small screen connected the key output will not work with 1080p formats.
    Remove the front plate from the UltraStudio and your key output should work in 1080p.

    I tried it without the LCD panel and still get the same results. I've attached a picture of how the key output looks when the fill is black.

    I also had a bouncing box going around the screen, and you don't see any change in the key output which is odd. I have raised this with Blackmagic as well, so hopefully it can be fixed.
