I was wondering if by script or visual logic you could change the image of a material (texture shader). If I datalinq the path of the image could script or visual logic change the image?

Yes, but you can datalinq the quad object directly, so there is no need to use a script or visual logic to change the image path.

What do I put in the datalinq though? The Image path? (I know how to use a datalinq, I mean what do I put in the cell being fed from datalinq)

or it can be a Material Name, if you just want to switch between pre-exisiting materials..

Hi, I'm trying to do this as well, but I'm having trouble. I get an error that the file is not found. Is there something I should be doing with the file path? I tried to use a material name and there was still nothing in the quad. I have a quad with the material source set to Datalinq with the datalinq field in dashboard that has the filepath in it.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

If you copy the file path into Windows File explorer does the image pop up?

We use an excel spreadsheet for our visiting team rosters that replaces material based on an explicit path for various logos used in the game. One for the scoreboard, one for the team specific color of the scoreboard, etc. But the path has to be accurate and we have found better success by storing materials locally instead of on a server.
