Generally sports venues are using scoreboards that output a serial or TCP data feed with all the scoreboard information in it. CGs, like XPression, can connect to that data feed and display it inside graphics in real time.
So you need the following:
- The XPression Datalinq License (XPression > Help > About > Licensees) - this allows XPression to connect to the XPression Datalinq Server, which is the application that will receive the scoreboard data feed
- A Scoreboard with a supported data feed - we natively support Colorado Timing Systems, Daktronics, Electro-Mech, OES, Swiss Timing and White Way - it's also possible to support other scoreboards by making the parser manually using our ASCII datalinq source
- A Scoreboard that actually outputs data - even if your scoreboard is in our list of supported scoreboards it doesn't mean your model/gear includes an external data feed
Let us know some details about what you have and we can try and help you out!
