  • 1.  Pausing Roll at Particular Spots

    Hi,

First time Xpressions user here, so please bear with me. I'm creating a scene group that has text to behave in a precise way.

A group of text needs to roll down and stop at a particular spot, then pause a few frames. From there the text group proceeds to another spot, pauses then goes off screen. Text groups follow one after another in the same behavior. I can't seem to figure out how to setup my scene group to accomplish this.. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you are building the roll as a scene group through layout mode, you can put an event marker into the scene and set the event marker such that when it rolls and becomes visible it will pause the roll and it can autoresume it after a set number of frames (use the Delayed Action setting in the Event Marker).

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the quick response. This really helps. However, I ran into another problem. I placed the event marker into the scene and got the roll to pause in the right spot by adjusting the scenes (children of the scene group) dimensions, however the roll seems to drift for a few cycles then goes back to the desired spot. Any suggestions on how to approach this?

    Hi again,

It looks like the drifting is happening because of the Event Marker trigger varies. I notice this when adjusting the scene group's duration. Is there anyway to tighten Event Marker's trigger?
