Full disclosure, I am fairly frustrated as I type this, so please forgive me is my tone comes off harsh, it's not intended to.

So... I'm finding that there are some gaps in the documentation for this software. I have been working exclusively with animation controllers, but wondered if my life couldn't perhaps be simplified by using the Object Tracks also seen in the Scene Director. I usually turn them off from the 'Show' dialogue to have more space for said controllers, but I thought I would see what they are all about. RIght clicking in the timeline adjacent to one allows one to 'open key frame file' and doing so opens a dialogue to navigate to such a file. Ok... what does that mean exactly? I open the help file, do a search for Object Tracks, and one for Key Frame Files, neither returned any result relevant to the topic. Looking in the section under Scene Director, I likewise found absolutely no mention of either of these things... what?

While poking around in those sections, I DID come across something that might be helpful wherein one can apparently change the length of a clip AND have the key frames re-position accordingly. I hope this means that they do so proportionately to the new length, but I can't find out because in the section under Edit Clip Length I am told to use the 'Edit Clip Length' dialog box within which I will find the option to 'Recalculate Keyframe Positions' but I cannot seem to invoke this dialog anywhere in the interface either via visible menus or contextual right-click menus. again... what?

This is the kind of thing that makes me want to pull my hair out... things in the application for which the seems to be no documentation on how to use, and things in the documentation which appear to not exist in the program. Can someone out there either help me sort this out, or point me to a source that can? It's hard to get to know a program that doesn't want to divulge its secrets.

I'm not at my machine but I've only send the keyframe remapping on the stagger animations. Maybe that's where you saw it?

To the larger point, I agree, XP is severely lacking in the access to the information. But they are getting much better. Every week I'm finding more and more resources.

It could be, but then the page I saw it on didn't make that clear. Glad to hear its improving though... I'm still wondering what's up with object tracks and key frame files.

MiaSan, you care to share any of those resources?

This is the youtube link to Ross' XPression Tutorials. They are pretty helpful and will get you where you need to go. From the basics to more advanced things are all covered. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...uhI8Tg3RVJFN2o

The help document will also help a great deal, especially for things like Visual Logic. For example, the 'Visual Logic Editor' page has breakdowns of every block in Visual Logic Editor, complete with descriptions and examples.

During down time, I also searched the forum for sample projects that had been shared by both users and Ross staff to see if there was anything cool. I have learned the most by reverse engineering other projects and adapting to my own. By searching for "brickftp" "ftp" "dropbox" and things like that, I was able to find new things to incorporate into my build.

Take the 'Family Feud' project that gets talked about often, I used things from that project to make an interactive bingo card for a big event. I also used the 'tuts 2015' to learn more about advanced timers and widget uses to create a cool timer.

I see.. Yeah I know about Ross U, and of course my post here addresses the discrepancies between the help doc and the app.
