  • 1.  Keyframing xpCameraObject Focal Distance and Focal Width

    Hello,

I just got v6.0 and have a scene which I would like to keyframe the focal width so the text closest to the camera is sharp, making objects in the background slightly our of focus. I do not see a way to keyframe this, nor do I see a place in the SDK to change these settings.

    Is this not doable yet?

Alternatively, anyone have a method that would give a scene a depth of field look?

    Thank you for your help.

    Mike

Have you tried enabling depth of field on the camera? You need to use a perspective camera for this.

Object Manager > Perspective Camera Object > Object Inspector > Camera Tab > Depth of Field

I've definitely got that far. I can change the camera to the Focal width I want it to start at and the focal width I want it to end at. What I can't do is keyframe these values or activate them using a script or animation controller.

Thanks for the response. Any thoughts on this?
