    Is it possible to export scene thumbnails to show the production team without having to be at the machine? If so how would I do this?

    Right click on the scene and in the menu there should be an Export option (I'm not in front of XPression at the moment, so can't remember the exact name). In there you choose Images (not Video), and then go from there.

    Option 1 is to export a video from your viewport under "view" then "export to image". Option 2 is to render a video or image from the sequencer by right-clicking on the event you'd like to export and selecting the option you'd like. Videos and images exported can also include alpha which can be useful for sending to other software such as an NLE.
