  • 1.  Live Input Materials

    I have built several scenes with a live input material with success, but now I have added a second live input to a scene. The scene works when I set it up, but after saving the project, when I reopen it, the second live input doesn't work, until I unbind the material from the quad and re-apply it. Is something corrupt in my scene, or I'm I trying to do something that is not supported?

    Are your video inputs set to 'keep input active'?

    Also what version and build are you on? There have been quite a lot of improvements to live inputs in 5.7+

    That seemed to do the trick, thanks. Was that setting a problem only because of the second material? We are running 6.0 build 3326. We've been trying to find the time to upgrade to the latest version---hopefully soon! Are there Live Input improvements between v6.0 and v6.4? Is v6.5 still Beta?

    Probably not. But that setting helps if the inputs don't stay active all the time. The most significant updates to live inputs are between 5.7 and 6.0, so we should already have them.

    XPression 6.5 is released and available from Ross Tech Support.
