  • 1.  Non-Default Scene directors not accessible in Key Graph Editor

    Hiya,

So, this is another instance wherein I am having a difficulty with a Scene Director in a TL scene which is not set to default.. In this case, double clicking on an Animation Controller on my IN director is not bringing up the corresponding key-framed objects in the Key Graph Editor. I discovered this when one of my Animation Controllers in that director was still indicating it had active keys despite the objects that were animated in said controller having been deleted.

I'm not sure if this is a bug in XP7 relating to these non-default directors (given this and the topic on which I made a previous thread concerning frame rate conversions), or if there is simply a setting or command I am ignorant of.

Just putting it out there in case.

Correction - I discovered that the IN director for a different scene was for some reason hanging out in this new scene, hence why it wasn't behaving as expected in this instance. That behavior could probably stand with being tightened up a little.

    Cheers

The keygraph editor will show you whatever the active animation controller is. The keygraph editor is not tied to any particular scene director, as it shows animation controllers and not scene directors. The active animation controller is the one selected in the combobox at the far bottom right of the XPression UI.

I get that, but what had happened in this case, is I had open - in a floating window - the IN director for one scene open, and when I switched scenes, that window remained and was still displaying the IN director for the scene I had previously been in. That's the behavior I was eluding to in the second post that could probably do with some tightening up.

    Cheers

When working in the key graph editor with multiple scene directors, I always double click on the animation controller in the scene director I want to change.
