Can anyone tell me how it works and what it does?

I got a cube I want to rotate in the left corner of the screen. But I only want to see the front when I'm looking at it in rest position. It now reveals too much of itself. I tried an ortho cam but that just looks really boring. I tried moving the camera way back and zoom in. That does help but now my control arrows/graphics for x y z are ridiculously large.

I had hoped the camera layer is made for messing with perspective.

I think I got it. It acts like a camera. But it's not suited for what I want.
To have a rotating cube, without the side or top showing when you place it left to the screen, it is best to create a separate scene with a centered cube and put that scene as a texture onto a quad in the master scene. I now have a rotating cube that looks cool when it rotates but flat when in rest, wherever you place it.

If you use an ortho camera and set it to active you won't be able to see the top or sides of the cube.

claudycj You got it right. That is the solution. Garner, I tried you idea too but I found that it doesn't make the rotation as exciting to look at.
