Hopefully this is an easy one. Draft kings wants me to make the players first and last name a different font (see image IMG_0565).


Is there visual logic I can use to get this complete? IMG_0566 is the visual logic I'm using now.

Yes, just add a "string value" block into your concatenate between first and last name. Set the string value to {LastNameFont} and then create a font called "LastNameFont".

Make sure you have the blue button at the top of your viewport turned on to see Visual Logic working in Layout (doesn't look like it's on in your screenshot)! It's the button called 'Show or Hide Continuous Animations in the Viewport F12'.

No, the string value should be fed directly into the concatenate, between the first and last name blocks.

Also, the original poster of this thread had the first and last names in seperate text objects, then they got merged together into a single text object. This doesn't seem to be what you are trying to do though. I suspect they did it that way because their data source provided the first and last names independently.

I would like to us only one line to text as that is how my data comes in. But still doing it as you have shown. I'm still not able to get the two different fonts.

Make sure the text object is not already set to use the red font.. I would try selecting all the text in it and double click the white font to ensure that the first part of that text object is set to white..

Will I did get it working by un-linking the LastNameFont to the Concatenate, then reconnecting. It must not cleared from the last time.

How would you like it to know where the last name begins?
Sometimes a name is not as simple as "John Smith", it may have several spaces such as "Stephane da Costa", or "Billy Bob Thornton"..
If you just want it to break on the first space; you can use a 1 line script in OnSetText for the text object:

Text = Replace(Text, " ", " {LastName}",1)

You won't see this applied in layout, but it should work fine when putting a scene online from Sequencer mode.
