  • 1.  Which font file type (FontCreator export) does XPression Studio 6 prefer?

Kerning text is an issue for us within XPression. To solve the problem, we installed FontCreator to edit the kerning tables within the fonts themselves rather than within scene templates in layout mode within XPression. However, nothing we've tried so far will make the Xpression Studio software pick up the corrected kerning when it loads fonts on startup. Most recently, we have tried deleting the fonts out of the font family completely within Windows and reinstalling them via FontCreator's built in wizard. However, the icons for them are different than the fonts in the family we did not edit. Is there a preferred font file format within XPression, and if so, what is it? TTF? OTF? Other? How do we make XPression pick up the edited fonts correctly so that we can have the desired kerning of text? Thanks!

XPression does not have a preference. It supports TTF or OTF files. It reads them out of either the Fonts\ folder in the project directory, or the windows fonts folder.
